Light controls our circadian rhythms. When it‘s getting dark we become tired, when it‘s getting light we wake up. Therefore, an ideal light in educational institutions is the decisive factor of success. Only the perfect interplay of balanced light, the optimal light control and light for orientation offer a comfortable light atmosphere. The students get more concentrated and attention is enhanced. This knowledge has been implemented by SPITLER in their lighting concept for the Kreuz Grammar School in Dresden. Pending luminaires of the SL 624 series as longside continuous mounted rows follow the arrangement of the desks and provide an optimal vertical illumination of the blackboard through an asymmetrical louvre. In the cafeteria and the choir rehearsal rooms, mounted luminaires of the SL 782 series with micro-prism are installed, creating a comfortable light. For implementation in the big „Kreuzchorsaal“ the luminaires have additionally undergone a resonance test certifying that inherent noise of the luminaires can be precluded in frequencies in a audible range of up to 110 dB.
